A joint initiative between the pubs and the Parish churches
LET’S GET TOGETHER
100 years ago, villages held family groups, who supported one another through thick and thin, feast and famine.
Today, with technology reaching into everyone’s home, that comforting support network has nearly vanished, which often leaves the elderly lonely and vulnerable.
With the loss of village shops and tea rooms, everyday communication between folk has been removed.
In this Parish we have T.L.C. and Young at Heart once a month, various other social activities and Church functions, but no-where to go when you are cold, bored or lonely.
Help is at hand! Each village has a PUB or three!
Pubs have traditionally been village meeting places, where you are warmly invited to meet one another over a cup of tea or coffee, free of charge, have a chat in the warm or a game of cards.
Our local pubs have generously agreed to offer their facilities and you will be made very welcome. Each one said how important it is to help the community.
